SLIME ROCKS!, Aug 19, 2008
Reviewer: Kevin of Phoenix, AZ
I’ve used your slime in my mountain bike for years and never notice it working, as I’ve never gotten a flat. Last month I saw your road tubes and thought they might be a good idea (I’m not a gram counting freak) because I hate flatting every few training rides. Today, on my 5th ride or so with my slime tube I heard the dreaded *HISS* while going downhill about 28 mph, 12 miles from home. I pulled over and began to inspect my tires which weren’t flat? Then I notice some green dust/powder on the rear when a tire slice was located. The hiss was sealed before I could stop. I rode gingerly at first, then kicked it back up to 22-24mph all the way home, with no “flatted, lazy” shortcuts. That $7 was money well spent, not only in hassle but in time not lost. It saved me 15 minutes or so, allowing me to get a full ride and get back to work. It paid for itself.
